Hey, this is my portfolio presented in a webpage and I hope that you will have a fun time viewing it. Maybe you'll even decide to take a computer class after this!
Keyboarding:
When we first started the year we learned did several typing exercises to increase our typing speEd. This came in handy because typing is important for everyday life. I used to not know where the keys are and would look from the paper to the keyboard to the screen. So naturally, my typing speed was low. I started at 17 words per minute and now I can type a minimum of 50 words per minute.

Microsoft Word: In Microsoft
Word we learned how to make documents, change the font, insert picutres, make
columns, and so on. This would eventually come in handy when I had to do a newspaper
project for history. I''m proud to say that we got an A. This is pretty goOd
because I have never heard of Mr. Tucker ever giving an A+. Now I can type up
projects in different formats with a variety of options. So now, my mom doesn't
have to type anything for me! =] See work:

Excel: This section
of the class was spent organizing data, especially numbers, into Spreadsheets.
In the month of February we made a spreadsheet for Black History Month, while
in March we made one for Women's History Month. These spreadsheets consisted
of their name, date of birth to date of death, the sources, an image of them,
and what they did. We had to find people who had to overcome obstacles to be
the first to accomplish a variety of tasks such as: first to fly around the
world. That was Amelia Earheart. I not only learned about the computer's program,
but also about history. It was great to learn so much in so little time. See work:
Macromedia
Fireworks: This program
was fun because I was able to learn all of the functions of the keys and this
helped to perform didfferent tasks. I especially had fun working with the Property
Inspector. We did this really cool tutorial that we eventually were able to
view of the internet using Firefox. It was a basically an ad for a computer
company that rented cars. It was quite a long tutorial and moderately hard.
It was happy when I was done, but I wouldn't mind doing it over again. See work:
Macromedia
Flash: Oh my gosh.
This is my absolute favorite program because in Macromedia we learned how to
make movies. There was something really fun about making the movies because
it gave me this feeling of satisfaction. It showed the same figure moving frame
by frame. It was like a flipbook that you draw on post-it pads coming to life.
I never imagined that I would be capable of making a movie. We learned about
keyframes and I was able to find the right speed for my frames to move. First,
we did a tutorial, which was a car movie. Then we did our own. At the beginning
when Mr. Shattuck assigned this to us, I thought I was doomed. It turned out
that is was really fun and I was able to complete the assignments.
Macromedia Dreamweaver: This has
been the hardest ot all the the programs I've had to do. The page that you see
before you is just a remake of the first one I had to do. I made another one,
but it got messed-up when I tried to do frames. I hope that maybe in the future
I will understand how to make frames correctly. Dreamweaver is fun though because
the program is used entirely to make your own site. I used it to make the one
you see right now. You can make links and even insert your Macromedia Flash
movies! How cool is that? 2005-2006: Hey,
I hope that you had a fun time loOking at my page because I know I have had
a fun time making it. WelL, sumMer is almost here and I can't wait for it to
begin. =] This year has beEn especially tough and hard. But this clasS was my
favorite and I know how to use the computer. I thought I knew everything before,
but now I know there is stiLl more to learn. I'Ll definately take another computers
clasS again!
